The Poon Hill Trek is also known as the Annapurna Sunrise Trek and that is because everyone is trekking towards that famous spot on Poon Hill from where you can see the sunrise over the Annapurna Range, one of the most beautiful mountain ranges in the world. On the Poon Hill Trek, you won’t have to worry about altitude sickness. This trek walks you through the lush valleys, towering waterfalls, woods and traditional colourful Nepalese villages in the southern part of Annapurna Himalayan range. Because the trail passes through Annapurna Conservation Area, you’ll need to get ACAP(Annapurna conservation area project) permit in advance for permission to walk in.

The Poon Hill Trek is considered to be an introduction to the great wonders of trekking in the Annapurna Region. It is one of the easiest, if not the easiest trek in Nepal. The Poon Hill Trek is considered to be family-friendly and unlike on other treks in Nepal, you can do this trek in a short time, if you wish to.
