The Annapurna mountain range, which includes one of the fourteen 8000m peaks in the world, Annapurna I, standing at 8091m, is a vast range of mountains. It boasts several high secondary summits, such as Annapurna II, III, IV, and South, all reaching heights of over 7000m, along with some 6000m peaks. To the west of the Annapurna range lies Dhaulagiri, towering at 8175m. The region between these two majestic mountains is home to the Kali Gandaki, the deepest valley in the world. Nestled on the edge of this river is the ethnic Thakali village of Dana.

While hiking in this region, one can witness awe-inspiring peaks like Macchapuchhre, Nilgiri, Tilicho, Himlung Himal, and Gangapurna. Each of these peaks adds to the breathtaking beauty of the Annapurna range, creating a paradise for trekkers and mountaineers alike.

The region is protected by Annapurna Conservation Area Project and this makes flora and fauna very rich. The Pokhara and Besisahar are below 1000m and their climate is quite tropical and the landscape included many terraced fields. The forest at the higher altitude includes oaks, beeches, and rhododendrons then at the highest pine trees and junipers. the region is composed of many birds like pika, blue ships, and Himalayan Tahrs.

The region included multi-ethnic groups: Magar, Gurung, Thakali, Tibetan, etc. We will get the opportunity to see ancient villages, Buddhist monuments, stupas, and monasteries. It is all Tibetan style, people, houses, culture, and monasteries, between Muktinath and Kagnebi.

For the complete tour, the only challenge is to cross the Thorong La, but 4 to 6 days of hiking in the valley before reaching Manang at 3540 m should be thanked and the acclimatization process works well. When we stay 2 nights in Manag, it is the only thing to take care of. If we start from Pokhara, we spend at least 3 nights before spending 1 night in the ABC.
