MARDI HIMAL TREK
We start Mardi Himal Trek in Ghandruk after finishing the Poon Hill Trek. The newly opened route in the Annapurna region is Mardi Himal Trek. Thus, Mardi Himal is one of the lowest mountain peaks in Nepal. At 4100m, we reach the base camp of Mt. Mardi. The Mardi trek Offers us amazing views of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchre, Manaslu, and green forests. The trekkers who wish to experience a taste of trekking in Nepal and a short trek can choose Mardi as a destination. And this trek mainly introduces the mountains of Nepal. During the hike, we will be walking through the ancient rhododendron forest. The Mardi Himal trek is a hidden gem just east of the Annapurna Base Camp. Until you climb out at around 3,330 m, we will move towards the trail winds along small paths through ancient rhododendron forests. We can climb in about 3-4 hours to Mardi Himal Base Camp, from the High camp (3,580m). Thus, it will offer a spectacular close-up view of the entire Annapurna Range. There is a fantastic viewpoint approximately 2 hours from the High Camp.

Itinerary
Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be warmly greeted by our representative. They will assist you in transferring to your hotel and provide all necessary trek preparations. Get ready for an exciting trekking adventure through the stunning landscapes of Nepal!
Begin with a morning flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara, where you’ll be treated to breathtaking Himalayan views. From Pokhara, enjoy a scenic 2 to 2:30 hours drive to Deurali. Check in and spend the night at a cozy tea house lodge, ready for the trekking adventure ahead.
From Deurali, take an off-the-beaten trail to Mardi Himal Base Camp. Trek through a dense forest of oak, maple, hemlock, and rhododendron. After about 4 hours of jungle walking, reach Forest Camp for a lunch break. Continue uphill to Low Camp through rhododendron-covered terrain with moss, lichen, and tree ferns. Low Camp has four lodges. Overnight in Low Camp.
Trek through the rhododendron forest to Badal Danda. Enjoy stunning views of Mardi Himal, Annapurna South, Hiuchuli, Gangapurna, Machhapuchhre, and Mardi Himal itself. The trail breaks out above the tree line with excellent vistas of Annapurna South and Hiunchuli. Continue along the Mardi Himal ridge, passing through grassy terrain with isolated rhododendron bushes. Look out for the colorful Danphe pheasant. Overnight at High Camp with beautiful views of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, and Machhapuchhre (Fishtail).
Early morning, wake up for a stunning sunrise view of the mountains. After an early breakfast, hike up the ridge towards Mardi Himal Base Camp. The trail is well-established with a few steeper sections, but overall, it’s not too challenging. Keep an eye out for dzokpo (yak/cow crossbreds) and Danphe pheasants. You’ll also pass herder’s huts along the way as the area is used for summer grazing. After approximately three hours, you’ll reach Base Camp at 4500m, offering a spectacular panorama of the Annapurna Sanctuary, including the south face of Annapurna and all the peaks within, as well as Hiunchuli and Machhapuchhre (Fishtail).
After enjoying the breathtaking views, return to High Camp for lunch and then retrace your steps back to Low Camp. Spend the night at Low Camp, nestled amidst the serene mountains and lush landscapes.
Today, you’ll trek to Siding, making your way through the picturesque landscapes and charming villages. The trail will take you through forests and tranquil surroundings, offering a peaceful and enjoyable trekking experience. After reaching Siding, you’ll bid farewell to the mountains and trekking trails.
From Siding, you’ll then take a scenic drive back to Pokhara. The drive will provide you with another opportunity to savor the stunning views of the countryside and the Annapurna region.
Once you arrive in Pokhara, you can relax and unwind, celebrating the successful completion of your Mardi Himal trek. Take some time to explore the beautiful lakeside city of Pokhara, visit local attractions, and enjoy a well-deserved meal.
This marks the end of your adventurous journey in the Himalayas, filled with incredible memories and unforgettable experiences.
In the morning, take some time to explore the beautiful city of Pokhara. Visit local attractions, such as the Phewa Lake, World Peace Pagoda, Davis Falls, and the International Mountain Museum. Experience the laid-back atmosphere and the natural beauty that Pokhara has to offer.
After lunch, bid farewell to Pokhara and take a short 30-minute flight back to Kathmandu. Enjoy the aerial views of the landscapes you trekked through just a few days ago. Upon reaching Kathmandu, you can rest and reminisce about the amazing journey you’ve had in the Himalayas.
